Women Empowerment | Aditi Blogs

Hi, I am Aditi, and I welcome you to the Blogpost.

Young Ladies, beginning with, I would like if you recall the last time you heard these ‘stereotypical words’ said to you, or to some other girl – “Sit properly”, “Don’t wear short clothes”, “Don’t wake up late”, “Don’t sit among men and become a nuisance between the discussion”, “Don’t go out at night”, “Don’t mess up”. Boys are often told, “Don’t cry like a girl”, “Boys don’t dress in pink”. Why, isn’t it a girl’s right to sit comfortably? Isn’t the right of resting reserved for her? Isn’t it her right to put up her views in front of the crowd? Does a gender decide what color belongs to whom? Don’t boys have feelings? If it’s a boy, he is gifted a remote – controlled car, and if it’s a girl, she is gifted a cookery set. Aren’t we teaching our young girls that their place is in the kitchen?

Specifically speaking, statistics prove that total 32033 cases reported are of women being raped in India. Domestic Violence, Gender Discrimination, Harassment, Dowry – related Harassment, Lack of Education, Peer Pressure, Bullying. These issues force women to tolerate the wrong happening to them and are left with no other alternative, than to suicide. One suicide, and a mother looses her most – beloved daughter. One suicide, and a brother looses his most – beautiful sister. Just one suicide, and a father looses his lucky charm. His soul is still not ready to accept it. Hasn’t it been an injustice for all the love that he provided to his daughter? He had dreamt that he would immensely love his daughter till his last breath. This listening in itself, is a heart – breaking feeling.

A girl is the most beautiful gift this world has to give. Girls were never cowards, and if they had been, then they wouldn’t have become Sunita Williams, Arunima Sinha, Agatha Christie, Kiran Majumdar – Shaw, or Indra Nooyi, Aditi Gupta, Ellen DeGeneres, Lilly Singh, Taylor Swift, Kamala Harris, Angela Merkel. One of the most influenced women, we look at today. They showed up their definition of success. Women taking charge is not a nuisance, just a step ahead on the way to development. woman have gone through hate, negativity or criticism irrespective of her appearance. We always blame the girls, if anything wrong happens to her.

Girls should be independent enough so that they hold the ability to live life on their own terms. Girls are quite, not blind. Love your flaws. Own your quirks. Girls, your potential is endless. A female child; a daughter is a person who grows up to be your friend; a daughter is a mother’s treasure and a father’s pride and joy; a daughter is a gift of love. She is gifted wings. Let her fly. If she has grown in an open environment, never say that she is given freedom by her people, freedom is never given, darling, it's already yours. Her freedom is her responsibility. And if she has grown very well, she is responsible and it's a routine.

It doesn’t matter what she did. It’s never ok to hit a woman, ever! Nothing is stronger than a broken girl rebuilding herself. Be a girl with a mind, a woman of attitude and a lady of class. Be the girl who doesn’t cry often, but if you cry, you make sure that you don’t cry for the same reason again. BE BEAUTY. Voice this out!

  2. Her wings are a gift. Let her soar. Never claim that a woman who has been up in a free society has been given freedom by her people; freedom is never given; it is already yours. She must exercise her right to freedom. If she has developed well, she is accountable and it has become a regular.
